THE CROSSROADS COMMUNITY

Crossroads consists of Mayland Heights, Belfast and Vista Heights. It is an inner-city community located just east of Deerfoot and is surrounded by 16th Ave, Barlow Trail and Memorial Drive in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Crossroads has quick, easy access to all areas of the city!

These three communities are located in the city’s northeast, south of the Calgary International Airport.  Both the Mayland Heights and Vista Heights communities consist of industrial and residential areas. Crossroads was annexed by the city in 1910 but not developed until 1962.

The area offers excellent views of the Rockies and the downtown skyline. There are many green spaces which include four community skating rinks, two off leash dog parks and soon to be a community garden at the community hall. The communities contain both public and separate schools, numerous churches, restaurants, doctor offices and a grocery store, all within walking distance!

The access to transit in Crossroads is great with the recent addition of the Max Orange BRT which runs along 16th Ave N. We also have the Barlow/Max Bell C Train station in the South of the Community serviced by several bus routes.

Everyday, they make significant contributions to the health and well-being of your community. CAs exist in every neighbourhood in Calgary – they are non-profit organizations run by your neighbours and other volunteers that connect you, act as a voice for your area, and offer you endless opportunities close to home.
